// The platform

The prior art was always there.
The search just could not find it.

Most IP failures trace back to one cause: a relevant prior art document that was never found — because it used different terminology, lived in a different technical domain, or was retrieved by a system that approximates relevance instead of guaranteeing it.

ATTVC is built on AIT — the Science Counter Analytical Intelligence Theory — a patented framework that derives knowledge structure analytically from any corpus. The result is the only IP platform that can guarantee relevance, not approximate it.

// The root cause

Why prior art gets missed

Every IP professional knows the risk. A patent is granted, litigated, or rejected — and somewhere in the record is a document that anticipated the claim. It was there all along. The search just did not find it.

The cause is not effort. It is architecture. Keyword search finds documents that use the same words. Vector search finds documents whose learned embeddings are close in a trained space. Neither can guarantee that what it retrieves is actually relevant — or that what it misses is not.

AIT-based retrieval is a different operation. The relevance of any document to any query is derived analytically from the participation structure of the corpus — not approximated from training data. The result is the highest achievable relevance for any retrieval system operating on the same corpus.

Keyword search

Finds documents that use the same words as the query. Misses prior art in different terminology, different domains, different languages entirely.

Vector / semantic search

Finds documents whose embeddings are statistically similar. Relevance is approximated by a trained model. Cannot guarantee that retrieved documents are relevant — or that relevant documents are retrieved.

AIT-based retrieval

Relevance is derived analytically from the knowledge structure of the corpus. Multiple ASM types score different dimensions of relevance simultaneously. Cross-domain by construction. Theoretically maximal by derivation.

// What the platform does

Five capabilities. One analytical foundation.

Every tool derives from the same AIT engine — different configurations of PM_kl, ASM, and COP for different stages of IP work.

Document Intelligence

The most complete single-document analysis available to any IP professional — powered by AIT composition investigation.

Upload a patent application manuscript before you file. Upload a granted patent you are analyzing for litigation. Upload a scientific paper you suspect is prior art. Upload a technical disclosure from a competitor.

The AIT composition investigation service analyzes the full participation structure of the document — every concept, every association, every relationship to the broader knowledge domain. Then it scores every document in the corpus for relevance to each aspect of what you uploaded.

The result is not a list of search results. It is a complete intelligence report on the document — where it sits in the knowledge landscape, what preceded it, what is truly novel, and what faces prior art risk.

Full capability details →
1

Novelty assessment — which aspects are truly novel vs anticipated

2

Importance ranking — how significant is this document in the knowledge structure of the domain

3

Content categorization — the full ontological structure of concepts in the document

4

5

Relevance-guaranteed prior art — highest-relevance documents from the corpus per aspect

6

Aspectual claim analysis — which specific claims are strong and which face prior art risk
